2. Collection of Personal Data
English: Personal data is collected for lawful purposes directly related to membership administration, event participation, donation management, compliance with statutory obligations, and community outreach.
Nepali: व्यक्तिगत डाटा सदस्यता प्रशासन, कार्यक्रम सहभागिता, दान व्यवस्थापन, कानुनी पालना तथा समुदाय पहुँचसँग प्रत्यक्ष सम्बन्धित वैधानिक उद्देश्यका लागि संकलन गरिन्छ।
3. Use of Personal Data
English: Personal data will only be used for the purposes stated at the time of collection. Direct marketing will only be conducted with explicit consent.
Nepali: व्यक्तिगत डाटा संकलनको समयमा उल्लेख गरिएका उद्देश्यका लागि मात्र प्रयोग गरिन्छ। प्रत्यक्ष विपणन स्पष्ट सहमति प्राप्त भएमा मात्र गरिन्छ।
4. Accuracy and Retention
English: Reasonable steps will be taken to ensure accuracy. Data will be retained only as long as necessary or as required by law.
Nepali: डाटा शुद्धता सुनिश्चित गर्न उचित कदम चालिनेछ। डाटा आवश्यक अवधिसम्म वा कानुनले मागे अनुसार मात्र राखिनेछ।
5. Security
English: Technical and organizational measures will be adopted to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or disclosure.
Nepali: प्राविधिक तथा संगठनात्मक उपायहरूले व्यक्तिगत डाटालाई अनधिकृत पहुँच, हराउने, दुरुपयोग वा खुलासा हुनबाट सुरक्षित राख्नेछन्।
6. Access and Correction Rights
English: Individuals have the right to request access to and correction of their personal data held by the Association. Requests should be made in writing to the Data Protection Officer.
Nepali: व्यक्तिहरूले संघमा राखिएको आफ्नो व्यक्तिगत डाटा हेर्न वा सच्याउन लेखेर डाटा संरक्षण अधिकारीलाई अनुरोध गर्न सक्छन्।
7. Disclosure and Transfer
English: Personal data will not be transferred to third parties except when required by law, to service providers under confidentiality obligations, or with explicit consent.
Nepali: व्यक्तिगत डाटा तेस्रो पक्षलाई हस्तान्तरण गरिँदैन, कानुनले मागेमा, गोपनीयता पालना गर्ने सेवा प्रदायकलाई वा स्पष्ट सहमति भएमा मात्र।
8. Transparency
English: The Association will provide a Privacy Policy Statement and Personal Information Collection Statement (PICS) to inform individuals of the purpose of collection, classes of transferees, and rights of access and correction.
Nepali: संघले गोपनीयता नीति वक्तव्य तथा व्यक्तिगत जानकारी संकलन वक्तव्य (PICS) उपलब्ध गराउनेछ जसले व्यक्तिहरूलाई संकलनको उद्देश्य, डाटा हस्तान्तरण हुने वर्गहरू, तथा पहुँच र सच्याउने अधिकारबारे जानकारी दिनेछ।
9. Amendments
English: The Association reserves the right to amend this Privacy Policy to ensure compliance with updates to the Ordinance or other applicable laws. Members will be notified of changes.
Nepali: संघले अध्यादेश वा अन्य लागू हुने कानुनमा भएका संशोधनसँग मेल खाने गरी यो गोपनीयता नीति परिमार्जन गर्ने अधिकार राख्छ। सदस्यहरूलाई परिवर्तनबारे सूचित गरिनेछ।

Changes to This Privacy Policy
The Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (PDPO) is the law that applies when any social organization in Hong Kong collects personal information from its members. It was enacted in 1995 and came into effect in December 1996 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page.
