Bade farewell to Ashok Ghatraaj

Hong Kong Integrated Nepalese Society (HINS) congratulated and bade farewell to Mr. Ashok Gahataraaj Sunaar, the General Secretary of HINS, who was awarded the ‘Chief Executive Commendation for Community Service’ in 2015 by the HKSAR government. The program was held at Curry Leaf restaurant. On this occasion held to congratulate and bid farewell, the Consular General of Nepal, Mr. Kamal Prasad Bhattarai, awarded a letter of appreciation and offered a ‘khada’ to Mr. Gahataraaj on behalf of the organization for his contributions to the Nepalese community. Mr. Gahatraaj, along with his family, will soon be moving to the United Kingdom for his future endeavour. Consular General Mr. Bhattarai appreciated Mr. Gahatraaj’s contributions to the Nepalese society in Hong Kong. Mr. Binay Shah, the director of HINS, remembered the contribution of Mr. Sunaar since the establishment of HINS, and also praised him for his work to bring the organization to the present position. A Parker pen was gifted by the directors to Mr. Gahatraaj as a token of love. During the dinner where there were presence of founding members, patrons, advisors, directors and well-wishers, the new directors of HINS Mr. Rabin Kumar Lingden, Mr. Narendra Gurung, and Mr. Ishwar Bikram Shah were welcomed by Mr. Komal Gurung, Chairman of Tamu Society of Hong Kong, Mr. Kamal Poudel and Mr. Nutan Khadka, advisors of HINS respectively. Similarly, Team leader Mr. Krishna Raj Laoti and Programme Officer Ms. Shresti Shrestha were provided with letter of appreciation by the Consular General on behalf of HINS for their contribution to the Nepalese society through the project Nepalese Community Support Team (NCST)-Nepali Team, the project which was funded by the Home Affairs Department for ten years and was run by HINS.
